Back to EducationOur portion of the work was the electrical engineering design work for the Pre-Design/Initial Concept Development, and the FACD phases. Our scope of work included the following:
- Attended and assisted in the five day pre-design/initial concept development to identify and coordinate the site detail infrastructure requirements with the base, and to develop the preliminary electrical scope and costs for the project. Systems designed included exterior electrical distribution, primary electrical distribution, secondary electrical distribution, underground infrastructures, interior electrical distribution, emergency power distribution, interior and exterior lighting, telecommunications, CCTV, CATV, LAN, PA, Master Time Clock and Program Bell, and Intrusion Detection.
- Attended and participated in the 10-day FACD to further develop the project scope and cost, and to confirm the site electrical infrastructure requirements with the base personnel.
- Summarized our findings, recommendations, and estimated electrical costs in an FACD report that was prepared at the meeting.
