Tripler Medical Center
InSynergy Engineering, Inc. designed the mechanical systems for the Ambulatory Care Clinic and the other facilities for the Sparky Matsunaga Veterans Affairs Medical Center which was completed in 2000. Located at Tripler Army Medical Center, the project consisted of a new three story, 91,300 sf Ambulatory Care Clinic.
The other facilities included a new single story, 43,000 sf Center for the Aging which includes 60 patient beds, treatment rooms, staff offices, and dining/recreation room; a new four level 479 car parking structure; renovation of TAMC E Wing into administration offices and laboratories; and a new 5000 sf Child Care Center. The mechanical scope of work for these projects included the design of the plumbing, ventilation (including infectious isolation room ventilation), air conditioning, hot water heat recovery from chillers for domestic hot water heating, med gas, generator support and fire sprinkler systems. Other work also included the design for a new 105 bed medical center which was never funded.
